Product Overview
- Full 360° Coverage, No Alignment Needed – The FS-F3 is a 5.8 GHz omni antenna, so there is no bearing to aim and nothing to re-align when a mast rotates or a site plan changes. On networks with many installation crews, that is worth more than an extra decibel or two.
- 10 dBi Gain in the 5.8 GHz Band – Gain is 10 dBi in a band wider and less congested than 2.4 GHz, so interference, not distance, limits the link. The flattened pattern reaches further across the ground, for moderate-distance line-of-sight links, not long-haul spans. 8 dBi and other gains available.
- Fiberglass Body with Sealed Joints – The element sits in a molded fiberglass casing that is dust and water resistant, UV stable and non-corroding. Tip and base joint are sealed rather than capped, keeping rain, dust and condensation off the feed point and holding VSWR steady over wet seasons.
- Flexible Gooseneck Base – The corrugated section at the bottom bends and stays where you put it, so the body sits vertical on a sloped cab roof, a camera pole or an angled bracket. No bespoke bracket is needed for each mount, which shortens installation across a fleet and cuts returns.
- 50 Ohm, VSWR Below 1.5, 50 W Max – At VSWR 1.5 it reflects about 4% of the power, small enough to ignore in most link budgets. The 50 Ohm match suits WLAN and 802.11ac radios, wireless video transmitters and industrial RF gear. The 50 W rating also leaves headroom for transmitters above 100 mW to 1 W.

Application
Wireless Video & CCTV Transmission – Ports, quarries, construction sites and farm yards need video coverage of the whole site rather than a single direction. One FS-F3 5.8 GHz omni antenna on a pole or control-room mast covers every camera around it, and the quieter band keeps picture break-up down.
Drone & UAV Ground Links – The 5.8 GHz video downlink holds steady even when the aircraft flies behind or to the side of the operator. Mounted on the tripod, ground station or vehicle roof, this omnidirectional outdoor antenna keeps the level through turns and orbits, with nothing to re-point.
WLAN, Wireless Bridges & Outdoor APs – Where a short rubber duck antenna is not enough, this high gain omni works as an external antenna on outdoor access points, wireless bridges and point-to-multipoint base stations. It covers clients in every direction, and fits either threaded to the radio or fed with coax.
Fleet & Mobile Asset Monitoring – This is where the gooseneck base earns its cost. The flexible section takes up a cab roof angle and holds the radiator vertical as the truck moves, while the fiberglass body shrugs off vibration and road spray. 360° coverage also takes the alignment step out of fleet rollouts.
Industrial Remote Control & Telemetry – Remote control for cranes and mobile machinery, and telemetry from solar farms and substations, often run where 2.4 GHz is already crowded. This omni antenna gives a low-interference 5.8 GHz path on exposed sites, in a sealed fiberglass body built for one visit a year.
FAQ
Q1. Will this omni antenna work with my 5.8 GHz equipment?
Whether the FS-F3 fits comes down to your band, your radio’s connector and the impedance. It covers the 5.8 GHz band and is matched to 50 Ohm, so it drops onto most WLAN and 802.11ac radios, wireless video transmitters and industrial RF gear. Give us your device model, frequency range and connector type and we can usually confirm if a stock build fits. N-Female is standard, SMA male optional.
Q2. How does the antenna install, and what mount do I need?
The base is a screw mount with the flexible gooseneck above it. Screw it to a bracket, a camera pole or an enclosure, then bend the gooseneck until the body stands vertical. It holds whatever angle you set, so the same part works on sloped or awkward surfaces and you rarely need a custom bracket. Tell us the thread and surface and we will send the matching base.
Q3. How far will a 10 dBi 5.8 GHz omni antenna reach?
We don’t quote a single distance. So much depends on your setup: transmit power, sensitivity, cable loss, height and what is in the way. Two things matter, though. 5.8 GHz loses energy faster than 2.4 GHz, and an omni spreads its power around 360° instead of one way. That suits moderate-distance line-of-sight links around a site or a fleet; for a long fixed span, a directional antenna reaches further.
Q4. What can be customized, and what does OEM involve?
Most of the antenna can be tailored: band, gain, body length, connector type and gender, cable and housing colour. OEM branding, printed labels and custom packaging are available for private-label ranges. The two decisions to make early are the gain your link budget needs and your equipment’s connector. Once those are fixed, a whole SKU range can be quoted and built to one standard.
