The FS-XP-011 is a compact external antenna with a magnetic base and 60 cm cable, allowing flexible placement away from a desktop PC’s metal chassis. It supports 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz bands, with a peak gain of 8 dBi, VSWR of 1.5 or less and 50-ohm impedance. Two RP-SMA male leads connect separate antenna elements, making it suitable for compatible 2×2 setups as a MIMO WiFi Antenna. The panel folds through 180 degrees for easy positioning, making it a practical Desktop WiFi Antenna for improving antenna placement around PCs and other wireless devices.

The specified gain for this model is 8 dBi. If you’ve seen a 12 dBi rating elsewhere, make sure it refers to the same model and frequency range. Gain alone doesn’t tell you how far a WiFi signal will reach; the radiation pattern, installation and surrounding environment all play a part.
